STEPS IN SELF-BECOMING

Today, I invite you to embark together on a new book, „QUESTIONS FOR LATER,” published by Ed. Globart Universum, from Montreal, Canada, in 2024, by the well-known Romanian-Canadian writer, MIHAELA CD. I must admit that, more than ever, I have been eagerly awaiting this book, desiring to discover the theme that the distinguished writer would address. And now, my anticipation has been richly rewarded. I am also pleased that this book is bilingual, offering ample opportunities to be read by as many word lovers as possible. The book contains Reflections and Motivational Statements.

Its content is valuable and extensive, which is why I will refer to the aspects that have delighted me the most and caught my attention, allowing you to savor and be surprised by the sharpness and depth of the author’s thinking, in addition to her literary and artistic talent. As usual, a „Welcome” message is addressed to us by Mr. Johnny Ciatloş-Deak, the director of the Publishing House, sharing the joy of this wonderful publishing achievement. With a specially chosen motto: „The important thing is never to stop asking questions” (Albert Einstein), which resonates with me as a physicist in all possible worlds, beyond the limits of imagination, we step alongside the author on this unique spiritual journey. The volume is dedicated to the author’s grandson, Arius, „with infinite love and boundless longing.”

Chapter 1, Be curious, comes with encouragements: „Observe, Listen, Learn!”… or „Curiosity is a quality.” Curiosity is formed since we are young, and it must be nurtured so as not to lose its value, to reveal truths based on evidence and offer you the „beauty of discovery.” „The spark of curiosity” is ignited within us in childhood, then nurtured by parents, teachers, and later by science and religion, which complement each other in a unified approach to understanding the world.

Chapter 2, Be smart, brings to the forefront the importance of self-knowledge, your limits, your possibilities, but above all, the supreme quality of being human. Analyzing, reasoning correctly, learning to seek solutions, empathizing with others through clear, discerning, and selfless communication will make your life beautiful, and you will have more and more friends. Over time, you will realize a truth: the more you know, the more you realize that you know less about the vast knowledge. However, this motivates us to learn and discover happiness in the little things. If I think about it, 15 years ago, I said, „We need so little to be happy!” (after my first trip to France). The author makes a beautiful invitation to reflection, acceptance, and appreciation: „Not all trees bear fruit; some are merely ornamental, while others only provide shade… Yet, all of them produce oxygen.” An invitation to love and forgiveness, to using intelligence for the purpose of good, for yourself and for others.

Chapter 3, Learn to Care, represents a relevant call. To save the world, you need kindness and intelligence. Being receptive to the problems of others is a skill that can be learned and plays an essential role, especially in today’s world. It presents knowledge as a tree, where we recognize „curiosity and ingenuity” as branches, exemplifying courage and humility, adapting to what surrounds us: „following the fury of the hurricane, the tree that bent its trunk survives,” and promoting the growth of human virtues: love, kindness, wisdom, and faith. Only through conscious openness to the universe can we perceive and understand the divine signs that come to us through people, trials, lessons, or gifts. True happiness is achieved when you discern your own mission for which you came into this world, at which point life takes on a different value, and you reorder your priorities, with spirituality increasing in importance relative to material and rational matters.

Chapter 4, Ask Questions, takes us back to childhood when asking questions was natural, and answers came from adults. Gradually, you learn answers from your own mistakes, from your own actions or those of others. It is a wonderful experience „to be free” „to be curious and ask questions.” I also join these keys to developing a person’s personality. The language of love is learned and given! And beautifully stated: „In the orchestra of your life, may you be the first violin!” I believe many of us still have work to do here…

Chapter 5, Seek Answers. „Ask little of God, for from Him you will always receive more!” That’s right, in fact, God knows what you need before you ask, but as the author says, you will receive them according to your merits. Divine meritocracy is fair, unlike human meritocracy… In your inner peace, you will gradually learn to call upon Him and listen to Him. You build veritable bridges of dialogue between you and the Creator, between you and others, and „Happiness takes the shape of your heart.”

In Chapter 6, Learn, the author speaks to us about attitude, the lesson of resilience, the lesson of love, the lesson of time, about the harmony of the soul, and the immeasurable importance of books. The artist’s developed aesthetic sense overflows into her words, in the colors of the soul, and all of this in „Time that does not spare anyone.” A time that we should make our friend and give it true value.

Chapter 7, Discover More. Opportunities come to you, and it’s up to you to discern the path, to adapt to changes, all dressed in respect and love for others, for God. Understanding is one thing, and learning is another. „You have learned” only when you can apply the knowledge you have acquired. The author speaks to us about friendship, trust, balance, the spring of the soul, and the value of gestures… Yes, in this aspect, as humanity, we are far behind. How many people are waiting for someone to make a gesture, to offer them joy… Dear ones, do this while people are still alive; otherwise, you will regret it. The miracle of a gesture is sometimes made with the hands of God. I have experienced this…

Chapter 8, Be Ambitious, opens up the perspective of flight when your desires can soar, anchoring them where they find fertile ground, then nurturing them with love, patience, perseverance, work, harmony, and passion, investing all that is good within you.

Chapter 9, Don’t Delay, comes with the determination to live life to the fullest, with optimism and positive thinking. „We are the architects of our own destiny!” Everyone’s dreams can become a reality. We anchor them with thoughts

Chapter 10, Youth, is dedicated to love that endures regardless of age. „To love with all your being means to breathe for the other.” It is a simple yet vast way of living, giving freedom and happiness to the person next to you, actually seeing and loving the divine within them, the same divine that resides within you, in a unique, beautiful, and lasting communion. Love is inscribed within us, like a divine code, and it only needs to be recognized, nurtured, and given.

Chapter 11, Self-Educate. Education is lifelong, but when you reach a threshold in your spiritual evolution, you learn to „value”… „love”… „admire”… „give”…”be grateful”… „smile”… „thank,” to continuously learn, to always manifest kindness, respect, amiability, altruism, goodwill, and love for people. You become a role model for others, you become the light they seek.

Chapter 12, Don’t Give Up, urges us to pursue our dreams. The dream belongs to us, but we shape it, give it form, color, and wings. It’s a unique adventure in which only through trying and desiring do we become victorious.

Chapter 13, The Right Moment. „A time for everything” and an optimal opportunity that awaits you like a train station you must arrive at. It’s a journey where „your behavior, integrity, righteousness, and above all, your dignity” matter. Sometimes, the journey towards success is far more valuable than the success itself. It’s a unique score of your life played on the violin of your soul.

Chapter 14, Use Your Abilities. A prioritized lesson in achieving your goal. Whatever you do with passion and for the greater good brings you satisfaction. „The attitude of a winner and excellence” is formed and helps you reach the peaks of success. To be a visionary means to have the perspective of what you will achieve while cherishing the present, where we are already building what will become tomorrow.

Chapter 15, Work, but work must be done with passion, and you must discern which work suits you best in order to become the most suitable and optimal version of yourself. Then, joys will not be delayed in appearing, for you and for those around you or in teamwork. „The power to work is a blessing.”

Chapter 16, Prepare the Future. By shaping children in the spirit of these values, we ensure the future. They came into the world we built, and they should add value to this world and human dignity. Yes, „Children are miracles given to us as gifts from God.” Parents offer them with unconditional love everything they need to follow their own flight, and we adults should provide them with worthy role models to follow.

Chapter 17, Live. „Live the moment,” beautifully and dignifiedly! Live every moment of life, from the special ones to the everyday ones. Be a light to those whose lives you enter! „The present day is a certainty. The future is just a beautiful promise, an expedition in which we are guided by our own dreams and aspirations, seeking new destinations and adventures.”

The book concludes with an optimistic outlook on a purposeful life, filled with possibilities to enrich and beautify it. „Questions for Later” are inherent questions that place you in the situations that await you on your existential journey, useful for anyone, regardless of age. I can say that reading the book fascinates you with its axiological content, as well as the visual spectacle it offers, as if for a festive day, just like the appearance of this book itself. I notice the author’s affinity for profound subjects that touch your soul, in which intrinsic motivation intertwines artistically with extrinsic motivation. The volume is the result of the author’s life experience, who felt the need to give her own opinions and reflections to the readers. Although the volume is rich in reflections and motivational statements, it is sprinkled with unique literary constructions that pleasantly surprise you: „the whisper of the wind” (Chapter 1), „shades of intelligence” (Chapter 2), „the tree of knowledge” (Chapter 3), „The heart of the ocean beats with the same intensity, even as the years go by. The waves go out to sea but always return to the shore” (Chapter 3), „curiosity becomes a junction” (Chapter 4), „the snowdrifts of life” (Chapter 5), „the string of the soul” (Chapter 6), „the easel of the heart” (Chapter 10), „The future is like a blank canvas, it depends on us to paint it” (Chapter 11), „Our plans are like rays of light” (Chapter 13).

The chapters are like steps we take in our own becoming, which we must consciously realize and give them their due importance, or through the author’s guidance, we can consider the book as a beautiful dialogue with Life. The writer sees the driving forces and motivations of human ascent, of creative thinking, of processes that lead to the assimilation of knowledge, the formation of skills, existential habits, the ability to learn, the ability to communicate, to value, to love, and to give. The book is a plea for love, for things that should endure, for true human values, in a life to be lived with dignity, in peace, love, and faith. It is a reflective writing through which we breathe the joy of life, in harmony with ourselves, the world, and the heavens. It is a rich soul that has much to give and has found its way to itself and to God through the Word.

A benevolent light persists in the volume, given with faith, joy, love, acceptance, blessing, and gratitude. You must be happy with yourself first and foremost to become peace and bring peace, to become love, all in divine harmony, in this tumultuous and confused world. It is a writing that builds and heals. It is a pleasant read that has found its place in my heart. The author shows us that it is within our power to be happy! When you see the divine in the other person, love is complete. It is given to us to be given, and through it, we can restore hope and harmony to the world. Freedom is a state of mind, in the happiness that resides in your soul. People need states of mind! That is what the book creates and offers us! A beneficial state of mind, showing us that Love is the profound utterance of the soul when, kneeling, you look towards God, and He rejoices! The divine being within us only knows how to love!

The book is written with heart and soul, which clothe reason. It is like an imaginary guide that accompanies you on your journey of life, helping you discover unseen aspects that you did not expect.

Reading the book settles on your soul in great peace, making you want to reread it. After going through it, you feel rejuvenated, full of the light and teachings of the book, which accompany you on your journey, Reader.

We thank the writer MIHAELA CD for this beautiful literary endeavor of value, for this gift from the heart. We congratulate her and wish her „much success” in her projects, and we hope for many more publishing appearances under the sign of the love for the Word!
